Who am I?

I am Sarah Coxon, the founder of SC Tuition a bijou tutoring agency based in West Sussex. #tutoring #englishlanguage

My company was started in 2016 I was working for a local secondary school, but quickly realised that working within the confines of formal education was restrictive and what I understood about myself, was my enjoyment of the interaction, communication and relationships with my students was greater than my desire to instill classroom discipline. #education

I took the first step on my journey and have never looked back. Tutoring is everything about teaching that I love and I hope, you will see my passion and commitment as we come together, either to read my blog or to book me as a tutor. #englishtutor

Why am I writing a blog?

To introduce you to a better experience of tutoring; one that puts you at the heart of everything we do.

As a company, we seek to build a community around our tuition, to involve not just the tutee, but the family too.

Today

As I was listening to the radio today, 17th May 2021, a day for caution and celebration amid the Covid pandemic, I heard the etymology of the word company.

The definition was this: "one who eats bread with you."

As a tutor, this resonated with me strongly. When you invite me to work and support your child you are trusting me with the most precious thing in your life.
